found this book in stratford, ontario after recently falling down the solarpunk rabbithole, and it happens to take place in my hometown of houston, tx. it imagines an alternate past where al gore won the election instead of bush in 2000, and the effects of capitalist greenwashing, especially on those living in the eighth ward where a hyperway is being proposed that will unhouse a lot of bipocs...it follows a ragtag group of friends living and playing music in the eight ward and how far they will go to protect their community
